The Field Service Technician’s primary function is to travel to customer sites to install and repair laser products. Additional responsibilities include training and providing technical support to customers
• Travel to customer site to install and repair laser products
• Training and providing technical support to customers
• Report discrepancies, unresolved or recurrent problems to the headquarters
• Understand technical documentation, schematics and blueprints, as to utilize them in field
• Provide regular feedback to R&D, Engineering and Production departments
• Accurately identify system problems from the information from the field, consolidate this
information and report these problems to the appropriate teams
• Assist other Field Service Engineers as directed
• Provide exceptional customer service
The candidate must have taken one or more of the following majors in University or equivalent institute
• Electronics background with good understanding of optics / lasers
• Have dealt with technical support in electrical and laser products / machinery
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics
• Ability to strip, cleave and splice optical fibers is an added advantage
• Experience with optical and electrical test methods in support of active fiber devices such as fiber amplifiers and lasers
• Ability to travel extensively within Indonesia
• At least 3 years' of similar field service experiences
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent electronics / electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently in a professional environment
• Must be able to speak English
